CAPTION
Urban County Program, on behalf of Precinct No.3, is requesting approval of Amendment No. 3 to the existing contract agreement for professional services with Hinojosa Engineering, Contract #5006/08-93-0311-5000-9300. Amendment will modify the scope of work and increase the contract fee by $8,494.00 ($750.00 for 06-358B and $7,744.00 for 06-358C) for the Street Improvements project on Mile 2 (FM 492 to Abram) in the Precinct No.3 area.
BACKGROUND
The additional scope of work will consist of the following:
06-358B - Additional Boundary Survey & Metes and Bounds (Additional Right of Way) is required for the completion of the Mile 2 project. This additional service will consist of 35.0’ ROW, Lateral 2 B from Main Canal to West ROW of 50.0’ Road.
06-358C - These services were not included in the original scope of work because this project was initially designated to be constructed through competitive bids. Reference lines and benchmark information is provided by the engineer, however, construction staking is typically performed by the contractor. Instead, the project is now being done with Precinct No.3’s man power and equipment. Because no contractor will be handling this project, construction staking will need to be performed by the engineer. See attached supportive documentation and Precinct No.3 letter of approval.
Previous Contract (includes Amendments No.’s 1 & 2): $62,680.05
Amended Contract (Amendment No.3): $71,174.05
Funds Available: $ 14,896.51 – FY 20 (2007) Pct. No.3 Street Improvement Funds
$ 23,812.20 – FY 23 (2010) Pct. No.3 Street Improvement Funds
$203,749.00 – FY 25 (2012) Pct. No.3 Street Improvement Funds
