The Urban County Program is requesting authorization to use the County’s Right of Way Agents to coordinate the following: survey metes and bounds, title reports, title policies, appraisals, review appraisals, and acquisition related to the Round 2.1 projects known as the “Delta Area Connector/ East Lateral” in Precinct No.1, Penitas Drain for Precinct No.3 and for the Round 2.2 project known as “Alberta Drain” in Precinct No. 4.
BACKGROUND
The Delta Area Connector/ East Lateral Project consist of Flood and Drainage Improvements as needed in the Precinct No.1 vicinity utilitizing GLO-DR funds. Construction shall take place in Hidalgo County, Texas, from Mile 12 ½ Road to the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 Ditch. Construction for Penitas Drain shall take place from Rodriguez Road to U.S. Expressway 83. Proposed improvements will significantly increase the capacity of the storm sewer system and reduce flooding. Construction for Alberta Drain shall take place from an existing channel approximately 0.89 miles from east of Tower Road, between Alberta Road and Owassa Road to the west approximately 0.25 miles west of Tower Road.
