Requesting authorization to amend the subrecipient contract with Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley (CCRGV) under the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program for FY 2011. The amendment will not change the current budget but will increase additional funds for Homeless Prevention activities. Catholic Charities will be able to assist additional families with financial assistance (i.e. rent, utilities and deposits).
BACKGROUND
The Urban County Program needs to amend the subrecipient contract with Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley (CCRGV) under the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program for FY 2011 so that they can expend all funds (100%) by June 30, 2013. The amendment will not change the current budget, but will increase funds within the current budget for Homeless Prevention activities. There is a greater need in the Homeless Prevention Category.
Approval is recommended.
