Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Weslaco is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with Saenz Brothers Construction, LLC for a 12-inch Recycle line at the Water Treatment Plant located within the City of Weslaco. Total contract amount of $432,705.00 utilizing UCP - City of Weslaco FY’s 24 & 25 (2011 & 2012) water/sewer improvement funds.
BACKGROUND
The City of Weslaco has requested and received bids for the Water Treatment Plant 12-inch Recycle line project. Lefevre Engineering and Management Consulting, LLC, Engineer prepared the specification packages; bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on October 9, 2013. After review the engineer recommended Saenz Brothers Construction, LLC, as the sole qualified bidder. (See attached recommendation letter from Lefevre Engineering and Management Consulting, LLC and a copy of bid tabulation sheet.)
