1. Requesting approval to re-certify Proyect Azteca as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) within the County of Hidalgo.

2. Requesting approval to execute the 2008/2012 HOME/CHDO contract for Proyecto Azteca 

 The Urban County Program requested proposals for 2008 & 2012 CHDO funds from non-profit housing organizations on May 15, 2014 and again on May 22, 2014. The 2008 funds were made available for funding due to a non-compliance issue in which another CHDO had to re-pay program funds to the UCP. Additionally, a project that was to be funded by 2012 monies, was cancelled. A committee evaluated the proposals received. Among the criteria used in the evaluation process was type of project, project location(s), previous funding, and CHDO budget balance/expenditure ratios. The UCP requests approval to execute the FY 2008/2012 CHDO contract for the following funding amount:

Proyecto Azteca - $297,429.90 - to build single family homes for low to moderate-income families that are below 80% of the area median income for the Hidalgo County.
