The Urban County Program is requesting the award of bids and approval of contracts for the reconstruction including demolition of five (5) units in the Countywide area in the total amount $41,977.00 to Quality Investments, $92,500.00 to Rolando's General Construction, $80,280.00 to J.D. Villareal Construction.

BACKGROUND

These families were approved to receive assistance under the HOME-Homeowner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program by the County Commissioners' Court on May 8 and May 15, 2007. Bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 for the reconstruction including demolition of five (5) units in the Countywide area. A review and tabulation of bids revealed that the following contractors were the lowest bidders for the Countywide projects in the amount of $41,977.00 to Quality Investments and $92,500.00 to Rolando's General Construction and $80,440.00 to J.D. Villarreal Construction.
