BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County received the Award of Excellence from Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers at its annual conference in June.
Over 300 entries were submitted and Hidalgo County was one of 80 municipalities selected as a finalist. Hidalgo County received the second place award in the video category for a "Special or One-Time Program – With a population Over 200,000." The Award of Excellence was for a video produced for Precinct 2 titled "Working for You."
