The Urban County Program on behalf of the City of La Joya, is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with RG ENTERPRISES dba G & G Contractors for a Parks, Recreational Improvements project in the amount of $349,065.68, utilizing funds from the UCP Year 19, 24, 25, 26 & 27 (2006, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements line item and City of La Joya General Funds. 

The bid opening was held on March 18, 2015 and the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was RG ENTERPRISES dba G & G Contracting. The project involves the final phase of construction for Military Park. Please see attached letter of recommendation by the project architectural firm, city’s recommendation letter and contractor’s general liability insurance. Project architectural firm is Alcocer Garcia Associates, Inc. In order to satisfy the contract amount UCP will be paying $237,372.83 out of UCP City of La Joya Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements line item and the additional funding in the amount of $111,692.85 will be allocated thru the City of La Joya General Fund.
