CAPTION

1. Approval to accept the FY2014 Operation Stonegarden Grant Phase I from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the total amount of $4,674,438.00. Phase I in the amount of $3,106,844.73 passed through TX Dept. of Public Safety.
2. Authorization to pay Overtime reimbursable under the grant terms and conditions.
3. Authorization for County Judge, as authorized official, to sign (and initial) award and required documents.
4. Approval of Certification of Revenues as certified by the County Auditor for the FY2014 Operation Stonegarden Grant.
5. Approval to appropriate the budget for the Sheriff’s Office portion of the FY2014 Operation Stonegarden Grant Phase I in the amount of $1,128,640.14.

The grant award is for $4,674,438.00 of which $1,800,750.34 is for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. The remaining balance of $2,873,687.66 is assigned to 4 (four) Hidalgo County Constable Offices and 13 (thirteen) city police departments within Hidalgo County.

FY2014 Operation Stonegarden Phase I for total amount of $3,106,844.73 of which $1,128,640.14 is for the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office.

The remaining balance of $1,978,204.59 is assigned to 4 (four) Hidalgo County Constable Offices and 13 (thirteen) city police departments within Hidalgo County.

Grant Operation: Date is from 9/1/14 to 2/28/16.

Constable Offices: Precinct 1, 2, 3 and 4
Cities: Alamo, Donna, Edinburg, Hidalgo, La Joya, Mercedes, Mission, Palmview, Penitas, Pharr, San Juan, Sullivan City, and Weslaco.

The individual sub-recipient agreements (interlocals) between Hidalgo County and the respective cities are to be submitted to Commissioners' Court at a later date.

Appropriations of the respective Constable Offices/City budgets will be submitted at a later date.
