A. Presentation for discussion, consideration and approval for Hidalgo County to exercise the option to renew for an additional one (1) year option (as provided in contract) with Memorial Funeral Home for Funeral Services for Paupers Contract No C-06-264-10-10 to commence 10/11/07 to 10/10/08 (if approved).
B. Pursuant to Attorney General's Opinion GA-0301, discussion, consideration and action (if required) in connection with interring unidentified pauper remains (aka John Doe's)" including, but not limited to, the following:
1) Soliciting sealed quotes (on an as needed basis) Turnkey Burial Services (incluidng cemetery plot) for unidentified pauper remains (aka John Doe's) but in no event to exceed $25,000.00;
2) Advertise sealed bids (on an as needed basis) Turnkey Burial Services (including cemetery plot) for unidentified pauper remains (aka, John Doe's);
3) Establish, maintain and operate a County owned cemetery for the purpose of interring unidentified pauper remains (aka, John Doe's) either on county-owned property or through the acquisition of property for said purposes;
4) Other options or related issues;
