The Urban County Program is requesting authority to award a bid and enter into a Construction Contract with McCrea Water Tower, Inc. (lowest bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements) for the 
improvements to the elevated water storage tank located in the City of Edcouch in the amount of $151,540.00 utilizing Year 20 (2007) Water / Sewer Improvement funds.

The Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Edcouch is requesting to award and enter into a Construction Contract with the lowest bid submitted by McCrea Water Tower, Inc. in the amount of $151,540.00. The refurbishing of the elevated storage tank will assist in the elimination of a possible health hazard to the public and will satisfy TCEQ concerns. See attached recommendation by the City and project engineer. (Project carried by: Quintanilla, Headley & Associates) THE ATTACHED LETTER FROM THE CITY CONSTITUTES THEIR RECOMMENDATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST BID SUBMITTED.  CONTRACT WILL BE EXECUTED UPON AWARD BY COUNTY COMMISSIONER'S COURT.
