Requesting approval and authority to purchase two (2) cell phones (Model 7100i) for the County Judge's Office of Emergency Management through the County's membership/participation with the state DIR TELE Contract #06-27-03/EXAN2000-SPR-W.

BACKGROUND

The purchase of these cell phones will be paid through the 2005 Homeland Security Grant, (fund 1283, object code 664). 
Service will not be activated until January 2008 and will be covered with the new Office of Emergency Management 2008 Budget under object code 532.
Purchase of cell phones will be used by the department for emergency situations as well as on-call duty.
