BACKGROUND
Reference Chapter 17 - Section 8, Missing Assets the items identified as "missing" and the department cannot prove the theft occurred. The user department is required to make a thorough and adequate search for the missing item and documents steps taken to locate the assets. (See Hidalgo County Administrative Policy Manuel, Chapter 17 Fixed Asset Dispositions)
