Approval of a Subrecipient Agreement with The Salvation Army and the Urban County Program-ESG/UCP Year 21 (2008) under the Emergency Shelter Grant Program for Maintenance and Operations, Essential Services, and Homeless Prevention Services.

BACKGROUND

The Salvation Army will use their funds at their homeless shelter.   Services include:

Maintenance &Operations                      Essential Services
Utilities (light, phone, water)                    Staff Salaries/benefits (shelter manager,        
Yard Maintenance/Minor Repairs               case worker)
Supplies (cleaning/office) 
Food/Comfort Kits


Homeless Prevention
Utility cut-offs, rent, rental deposits, and
mortgage foreclosures.


Subrecipient:                       The Salvation Army
                                             $ 59,550.00- Maintenance & Operations
                                                32,240.00 - Essential Services
                                                25,000.00- Homeless Prevention Service
