Requesting approval of a budget and program amendment to the City of Edcouch’s Urban County Program FY’s 24 & 25 (2011 & 2012) work plans. The amendment will delete the Sidewalks activity, increase funding to the Water/Sewer Improvements activity, delete the current scope of work and include a new scope of work which consists of the installation of a new SCADA System and permanent electrical wiring conduit for pumps, motor controllers, clarifier scrapper motors and an air compressor. To include but not limited to engineering fees and advertisement as it may pertain to the project completion.

BACKGROUND

A Public Hearing was held on March 19, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of Edcouch approved a budget and program amendment for Fiscal Years 24 & 25 (2011 & 2012):

The proposed amendment will delete the following activity and funding:
Sidewalks - $12,519.00

The proposed amendment will add funding:
$12,519.00 to the Water/Sewer Improvements activity

The proposed amendment will delete the following scope of work:
Project consists of the upgrade of water plant monitoring systems as well as the purchase of water plant equipment and upgrades in order to be in compliance of TCEQ regulations. This includes the installation of permanent electrical wiring on underground conduit for pumps and motor controllers, the installation of sludge transfer pump, clarifier scrapper motors, air compressor and SCADA equipment, to also include of the purchase of approximately 751 water meters with electronic readout terminals.

The proposed amendment will include the following scope of work:
Project will consists of the installation of a new SCADA System and permanent electrical wiring conduit for pumps, motor controllers, clarifier scrapper motors and air compressor. To include but not limited to engineering fees and advertisement as it may pertain to the project completion.
