BACKGROUND
Project Title: Monitoring Compliance for High Risk Offenders.
The goal of the project is to reduce recidivism, rehabilitate offenders and protect the community through collaboration between the Hidalgo County CSCD and the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. The purpose of this grant is to pay an off-duty Sheriff Deputy and/or Law Enforcement Officer to accompany the Adult Probation Officer to field visits of high risk offenders in Hidalgo County in specialized programs to monitor compliance with their court-ordered conditions of probation, increasing the community safety.
