BACKGROUND
On 06-04-2013, Commissioners Court approved applying for the FY2013 Operation Stonegarden Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Agenda Item#39049

The grant award is for $3,321,163.51 of which $1,600,000.00 is for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. The remaining balance of $1,721,163.51 is assigned to four (4) Hidalgo County Constables and twelve (12) city police departments within Hidalgo County.
