Requesting authority to advertise a RFB for: Disposal of MSW received at Pct. #1 Citizen Collection Stations/Sites to a Landfill and/or Transfer Station within a Fifteen (15) Mile radius from Sunset Park including approval of procurement packet.
BACKGROUND
Due to serious delays in the transport of MSW from outlying Citizen Collection Stations located at Sunset Park and Mercedes, Pct. #1 requires a contract for a disposal site (Landfill and/or Transfer Station) as an additional resource to relieve the amount of MSW received at these sites.
This contract would relieve the costs to the Pct. associated with:
Idle time, staff time, wear&tear on vehicles, costly repairs, fuel costs.
