Request approval to amend the 2013 Proyecto Azteca HOME Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Agreement and increase the funding by $175,000

BACKGROUND

The UCP had originally set-aside $200,000 for eligible Rental Program activities and completed a request for proposals and awarding process. After numerous months of negotiation however, the intended recipient of these funds has been unable to meet the terms and conditions of the program agreement. Due to the HOME Program regulatory commitment requirement, the UCP is requesting the deletion of the Rental Program line item, a reduction of $50,000 within the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program and a re-allocation of the $250,000 balance to the Community Housing Development Organization (C.H.D.O.) Program. In order to ensure commitment to HOME eligible activities in a timely manner, the UCP recommends an increase to the FY 2013 C.H.D.O. Agreement with Proyecto Azteca as follows:
