Requesting authority for Hidalgo County Urban County Program to migrate our existing accounting software Fundware (Blackbaud) to the Financial Edge software which is a web-based solution developed, sold and supported by Blackbaud. The Financial Edge utilizes the current market standard and readily supported technologies, and Fundware software will no longer be upgraded. Blackbaud is the sole owner of any and all intellectual property related to the software program listed above and is the sole provider for related training and consulting services. Total data conversion cost including training and implementation is $17,495.00 and the annual subscription fee for each three (3) period is $3,992.20.

BACKGROUND

Hidalgo County Urban County Program last upgrade was in 2006 from Fundware 5.8 to Fundware 7.6. Blackbaud purchased Kintera (Fundware’s previous owner) in 2008, and the company has converted over 400 Fundware customers to the Financial Edge since acquiring the software. This has allowed Blackbaud to streamline the conversion process and to allow the minimal amount of downtime possible, thus, reducing cost to Hidalgo County Urban County Program.
