Requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of Weslaco FY’s 25, 26 & 27 (2012, 2013 & 2014) work plans. The amendment will delete and decrease the Public Service (General) Library activities, increase the Water/Sewer Improvements activities and add a new scope of work: the replacement and installation of water lines and related street resurfacing improvements at several alleys and streets (Texas Blvd/Kansas Avenue, Kansas Avenue/Illinois Avenue, Iowa/Michigan Avenue, Iowa/Oregon Avenue).

A Public Hearing was held on April 5, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of Weslaco approved the budget and program amendment on June 7, 2016, for its FY’s 25, 26 & 27 (2012, 2013 & 2014):

FY 25 (2012)
The proposed amendment will delete the Public Service (General) Library activity by $31,367.30, increase the Water/Sewer Improvements in the amount of $31,367.30 and add the following scope of work: the replacement and installation of water lines and related street resurfacing improvements at several alleys and streets (Texas Blvd/Kansas Avenue, Kansas Avenue/Illinois Avenue, Iowa/Michigan Avenue, Iowa/Oregon Avenue) including but not limited to adjacent/abutting alleys within the same general vicinity, related appurtenances, professional engineering services, geotechnical and material testing fees, etc.

FY 26 (2013)
The proposed amendment will decrease the Public Service (General) Library activity by $10,333.00, increase the Water/Sewer Improvements in the amount of $10,333.00 and add the following scope of work: the replacement and installation of water lines and related street resurfacing improvements at several alleys and streets (Texas Blvd/Kansas Avenue, Kansas Avenue/Illinois Avenue, Iowa/Michigan Avenue, Iowa/Oregon Avenue) including but not limited to adjacent/abutting alleys within the same general vicinity, related appurtenances, professional engineering services, geotechnical and material testing fees, etc.

FY 27 (2014)
The proposed amendment will add the following scope of work: the replacement and installation of water lines and related street resurfacing improvements at several alleys and streets (Texas Blvd/Kansas Avenue, Kansas Avenue/Illinois Avenue, Iowa/Michigan Avenue, Iowa/Oregon Avenue) including but not limited to adjacent/abutting alleys within the same general vicinity, related appurtenances, professional engineering services, geotechnical and material testing fees, etc. The proposed amendment will not affect the original budget.
