Title VI/Nondiscrimination:
Discussion, consideration, and approval of the Hidalgo County Title VI Annual Work Plan & Accomplishment Report for FY2017, including the update to the Title VI Plan - Attachment 04 - Employee Acknowledgement Form.

Hidalgo County, as a recipient of Federal Financial assistance from TXDOT, or any entity or individual to whom federal assistance is extended, either directly or indirectly through another recipient and under the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statues, ensures that no person shall on the grounds of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any Department programs or activities.

This report is submitted to TXDOT on an annual basis. As a part of their responsibilities, TXDOT is responsible for monitoring compliance in Hidalgo County's Title VI/Nondiscrimination Plan.  In accordance with 49 CFR Part 21, both as explained in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Circular 4702.1A, this report documents Hidalgo County's Title VI program accomplishments for FY2017.
