BACKGROUND
Grant will be administered by the Office of the Governor's Criminal Justice Division (CJD).
Grant funds are restricted to obtaining body armor compliant with the National Institute Justice (NIJ) standard (Ballistic Resistance Body Armor NIG Standard -0101.06 type III (rifles) or type IV (armor piericing rifle) body armor, including bullet-resistant vests, ballistic vests, and plate carrier.
Taken before Commissioner's Court for approval to apply on September 12, 2017 under Agenda Item No: 61383.
