BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is directed by the Occupations Code, 1701.157 to make an annual allocation from the LEOSE account to qualified law enforcement agencies for expenses related to the continuing education of persons licensed under Chapter 1701, Occupations Code. Of the account, 20 percent is allocated equally amount the the qualified agencies. The remaining 80 percent is allocated on the basis of the number of eligible law enforcement positions each agency has as of January 1 of the preceding calendar year.Attachments
