1.  Requesting acceptance and action to correct the base bid submitted by NM Contracting, LLC total from $337,000.00 to $291,288.00, due to contractor's mathematical error.

2. Subject to compliance with HB 1295, requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with NM Contracting LLC., in the amount of $ 294,647.00 (Base bid and Alternate No. 1).  UCP Funds from FY 30 (2017) Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements line item will be utilized. 

BACKGROUND

The Urban County Program has requested and received bids for the City of Granjeno Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements project (Phase III). Hinojosa Engineering prepared plans & specifications packages and bids were received and opened at Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on October 31, 2018. After review, project engineer recommended NM Contracting as the lowest of 4 (four) qualified bidders. (See attached recommendation letter from Hinojosa engineer, bid tabulation sheet, contract, certificate of liability insurance and HB 1295 form).

Contract Amount:     $294,647.00

Funds Available:     $228,914.37    2017 Granjeno Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements
