1.   Requesting acceptance and action to correct the base bid submitted by RGV Asphalt, LLC total from $267,000.00  to $265,652.43, due to contractor’s mathematical error. 

2.   Subject to compliance with HB 1295, requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with  RGV Asphalt, LLC,  in the amount of $265,652.43.  Sullivan City UCP Funds from Fiscal Years 28 & 30 (2015 & 2017) Flood Drainage Improvements line item will be utilized.

BACKGROUND

The Urban County Program has requested and received bids for the City of Sullivan City Flood Drainage Improvements Project.  Urban Infrastructure Group, Inc. prepared plans & specifications packages and bids were received and opened at Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on April 24, 2019.  After review, project engineer recommended RGV Asphalt, LLC as the lowest of 9 (nine) bidders.  (See attached recommendation letter from Craig A. Gonzalez, P.E., bid tabulation sheet, contract, certificate of liability insurance and HB 1295 form).

Contract Amount:     $ 265,652.43
