Discussion, consideration and acknowledgement for WIC Mobile unit to implement WIC services to eligible participants in various areas throughout Hidalgo County where transportation needs have been identified.
BACKGROUND
The mobile unit team is composed of four staff including a Nutritionist, Clerk, Peer Counselor, and WCS Driver.
WIC has been through three different mobile units since 1997. Due to the COVID-19 Emergency, mobile unit services had been stopped, but at this time shall begin to resume for those areas of need.
