Co. Judge - FY 2022 AARP Community Challenge Grant:
Approval to ratify the application for the FY 2022 AARP Community Challenge Grant.
BACKGROUND
The purpose of the AARP Community Challenge Grant is to fund quick-action projects that can help communities become more livable for people of all ages. The grant will be used to fund Senior Fitness Equipment to be located at Palm View Community Center in McAllen, Texas. Application will be submitted prior to Commissioners Court due to the application's deadline of 03/22/2022 at 5PM EST.
FY 2022 AARP Community Challenge Grant has no cash match requirements. Grant amount requested is $18,295.00. There is an In-Kind contribution of $5,980.00 to be provided by the City of McAllen for installation of equipment to be performed by City staff (labor force).
