CAPTION
Requesting approval of Change Order No. 4 to [C-20-294-02-23] with REIM Construction, Inc. for Hidalgo County Precinct No. 3 - Mile 3 N. Road Project (Tom Gill Road to FM 492 [Goodwin Road]) [as detailed in document] and recommended by project engineer, B2Z Engineering and subject to receipt of TXDOT letter of concurrence.
BACKGROUND
Proj.# 22-0426
Subject to TxDOT Concurrence Letter.
Change Order#4 - in the amount increase of $67,367.15 and an increase of 12 working days has been reviewed and approved by HC Precinct No.3 to make the following contract changes.
The purposes of Change Order #4 are to, 1) add a conflict manhole at Sta 157+50 due to unforeseen field conditions that were not included in the Mile 3 project plans. A new 7x7 conflict manhole will incorporate both a 36" and a 54" RCP to allow both to operate simultaneously, 2) redesign a proposed 15" PVC line to the north of Mile 3 to drain into Inlet B-3B avoiding a high-pressure gas line on the south side of Mile 3 Road, 3) avoid a storm sewer alignment conflict with a 12” waterline by redesigning the storm sewer to the north side of the road. 4) redesign a temporary single 42" RCLHPP bypass into a double 42" bypass for increased capacity and the removal of the RCLHPP after it is no longer needed. The additional time to construct both the conflict manhole and the 2-42" RCLHPP is reasonable.
