BACKGROUND
On September 22, 2021, the U.S. Department of Housing Urban Development (HUD) awarded Hidalgo County Urban County Program (UCP) HOME-ARP funds, stemming from the American Rescue Plan (ARP), in the amount of $7,461,494 (Grant #M21-UP480501). In order for Hidalgo County to receive its HOME-ARP funds, UCP developed a HOME-ARP Allocation Plan. The HOME-ARP Allocation Plan describes how the County intends to distribute HOME-ARP funds, including how the County will use the funds to address the needs of HOME-ARP qualifying populations.
