Discussion/Approval of Change in Scope Modification: The Hidalgo County Head Start Program (HCHSP) proposes to submit to the Office of Head Start, a Change in Scope Application under our current Head Start Grant No. 06CH012134, to allow our program to address crucial issues Impacting our program such as, low enrollment and the retention of trained personnel. Our target date for the implementation of the Change of Scope amendment will be August 1, 2023. This "Change of Scope" application proposes to reduce funded enrollment by 490 slots, from 3,690 to 3,200, while retaining the current funding level of $30,131,685 for Operations and $322,586 for Technical Assistance, in effect raising the funding per child from $8,165 to $9,416.
