1. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements under the Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(4) for Professional Engineering Services;
2. Presentation of the scoring grid for the purposes of ranking by CC of at least three (3) Professional Engineering firms from the County’s approved “pool” as graded and evaluated by the City of La Joya, Urban County Program, and Hidalgo County Purchasing Department, in connection with and funded through Hidalgo County Urban County Program Years 31, 32, 33 & 35 (2018, 2019, 2020 & 2022) La Joya Water/Sewer Improvement funds.
3. Authority to negotiate a professional engineering service contract with the No. 1 ranked firm of for the provision of Engineering Service for an Urban County Program Years 31, 32, 33 & 35 (2018, 2019, 2020 & 2022) La Joya Water/Sewer Improvements Project (Lift Station).

BACKGROUND
Project consist of rehabilitation of a lift station to include but not limited to upgrade the existing Pumping System, Piping, Valves, Fittings, Electrical Control Panels, Concrete Slab, Ring & Covers, purchase and installation of fencing for safety around the parameter. Installation of a Temporary BY-PASS to keep the Lifting Station operating while work is being done. Installation of a Permanent Electrical Power Generator, Light Pole, Yard Hydrant & Water Meter. Other expenses will include professional engineering services, geo-technical and material testing fees, advertisements, etc
