Discussion, consideration, and approval to waive the entrance fee for all visitors to the Anzalduas Park on Saturdays and Sundays effective immediately. The waiver of fees is authorized pursuant to Local Government Code 316.004, and is requested due to the continued economic impact of the public health emergency, and the ongoing County Local Disaster Declarations.

Local Government Code 316.004 authorizes the Commissioners Court waive the fees in consideration of the following factors:(1) the time of the day at which or the day of the week on which a facility or service is used;(2) the size of a group wishing to use a facility or service; (3) the special circumstances of certain classes of persons, including elderly persons and indigent persons; or (4) other factors that the court considers to justify a different fee or the waiver of a fee. Local Government Code 316.001 will permit the Commissioners Court to reinstate and/or set and collect a fee for Anzalduas Park for recreational use upon approval.
