CAPTION
Requesting approval of a 2nd Amendment to the FY 2021 HOME Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Program Agreement between Hidalgo County Urban County Program and Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. (AHSTI). The proposed amendment to the Agreement will allow for a seven (7) month contract extension.
BACKGROUND
AHSTI has committed $164,637 (55%) of FY 2021 $300,000 HOME funds for two (2) projects in the Mid-Valley Estates Subdivision. The funds were not expended on time due to unforeseen delays in the development of the subdivision.
As such, AHSTI has requested an extension to the FY 2021 CHDO Agreement from September 20, 2024 to April 30, 2025 (7 month extension).
