Requesting approval to not renew the Texas Coalition for Affordable Power Inc. (TCAP) membership for the Commercial Electricity Service Agreement (C-19-191-11-22) for the purchase of commercial electricity.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County's membership with TCAP has a 5-year procurement cycle that ends on December 31, 2027. TCAP Board voted to extend the Strategic Hedging Program (SHP) for another 5 years; this is possible through the Commercial Electricity Service Agreement (C-19-191-11-22). Hidalgo County has decided not to extend the agreement for another 5 years; therefore, the expiration date shall be December 31, 2027.
