BACKGROUND
The Texas Narcotic Officers Association is an organization consisting of city, county, state and federal law enforcement officers whose primary duty was the enforcement of drug related laws in the State of Texas. The association was created for the purpose of exchanging information, discussing problems inherent to narcotic enforcement, sharing new techniques being utilized by both officers and suspects and recognizing deficiencies in the existing laws as they pertain to narcotic enforcement.
