Constable Pct. 3 STOP Truancy Program (1285):
1. Approval to renew Interlocal agreement between Hidalgo County and La Joya ISD for the FY 2026 (period of 09-01-2025 to 08-31-2026) in relation to the STOP Truancy Program with authority for the County Judge, as authorized official, to execute agreement. 
2. Approval of certification of revenues, as certified by the County Auditor, and appropriation of the same.

BACKGROUND

The Interlocal agreement will fund a total of 1 Deputy Constable position salaries, allowances, & fringes in order to provide a school resource officer for the school district for the FY 2026 (09-01-2025 to 08-31-2026).

La Joya ISD portion is 50% / County's portion is 50% (1 Deputy Constable)
