Requesting approval of a Budget & Program Amendment for Hidalgo County Precinct No. 2 to allocate recaptured funds into Urban County Program Year 17 (2004), Year 18 (2005), Year 19 (2006) & Year 20 (2007) Parks, Recreational Facilities and Street Improvement line items.

The Budget & Program Amendment for Hidalgo County Precinct No. 2, Urban County Program Year 17 (2004), Year 18 (2005), Year 19 (2006) & Year 20 (2007) will increase the parks, recreational facilities and street improvement line items for the completion of the existing workplans. A Public Hearing was held on July 22, 2008 at 9:30 A.M., and citizen participation requirements have been met. See attached detailed amendment.

Year 17 (2004) The proposed Amendment will delete the San Juan Senior Centers workplan and transfer funds in the amount of $5,000.00 into the Street Improvements line item.

The proposed Amendment will increase the Street Improvements line item by $5,000.00 and add to the workplan the following streets: Santana/Eldora (Nadia Street), Eldora Gardens, Rancho Escondido, Roadrunner #2, Southside Village, Tiny Acres, Country Living Estates, Las Brisas, Morning Sun, North Alamo Village, Northside Village, Pentecostal, RSW Unit #1, Red Barn, and Val Bar Estates.

Year 18 (2005) The proposed Amendment will delete the San Juan Street Improvement line item and transfer funds in the amount of $170,233.69 into the Street Improvements line item.

The proposed Amendment will increase the Street Improvement line item and add to the workplan the following streets: Santana/Eldora (Nadia Street), Eldora Gardens, Rancho Escondido, Roadrunner #2, Southside Village, Tiny Acres, Country Living Estates, Las Brisas, Morning Sun, North Alamo Village, Northside Village, Pentecostal, RSW Unit #1, Red Barn, Val Bar Estates and South Tower Estates.

Year 19 (2006) The proposed Amendment will delete the San Juan Public Facilities line item in the amount of $23,309.86 and transfer funds into the Street Improvements line item.

The proposed Amendment will increase the Street Improvement line item and add to the workplan the following:

Reconstruction of Santana/Eldora (Nadia Street) and related improvements. 

Year 20 (2007) The proposed Amendment will delete the Sidewalks line item in the amount of $59,517.00 and transfer funds into the Street Improvement line item.

The proposed Amendment will increase the Street Improvement line item and add to the workplan the following: Construction and re-construction of Moore Road from South "I" Road to South Border Road to include all related improvements.

The proposed Amendment will delete the ED Technical Assistance line item in the amount of $10,000.00 and transfer funds into the Parks, Recreational Facilities line item.

The proposed Amendment will increase the Parks, Recreational Facilities line item for the completion of the existing workplan.
