Approval to award a Construction Contract to Ferguson Service Systems, Inc. for improvements to the Water Treatment Plant, Reyes Street (force main relocation) and Gonzalez and Angelita Street (sanitary sewer improvements) using Urban County Program Year 18 (2005) Precinct No. 1 Water / Sewer Improvements recaptured funds from the City of Edcouch in the amount of $170,037.00.

BACKGROUND

Pct. #1 requests approval of the lowest sole bid submitted by Ferguson Service Systems, Inc. in conjunction with the 2005 Water/Sewer Improvements Project.  The construction consists of improvements to the water plant, Reyes Street will include a force main relocation, Gonzalez and Algelita Street wil include sanitary sewer improvements.  The Construction Contract shall be in the amount of $170,037.00.  See attached bids received, bid tabulation and recommendation from project engineer and recommendation to approve award from the Precinct.
