Hidalgo County Urban County Program requested authority to negotiate a professional engineering service contract with the No. 1 ranked firm of Raba-Kistner Consultants, Inc. for the provision of engineering services for an Urban County Program, City of Weslaco Water/Sewer Improvement project on September 30, 2008. Negotiations with Raba-Kistner Consultants, Inc. were not reached.  Raba-Kistner Consultants, Inc., has opted to withdraw from the project and the city has requested that Urban County Program request authority to negotiate with the second or third rated engineering firm as needed to reach a negotiated engineering firm fee.
