Approval to appropriate budget for the Sheriff's Operation Stonegarden Grant Award in the amount of $1,683,091.00.
BACKGROUND
On 12/09/08, Commissioners' Court approved the acceptance of the grant from the Office of the Governor, Division of Emergency Management (GDEM).
The grant award is for $2,480,000.00 of which $1,683,091.00 is for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. The remaining balance of $796,909.00 is assigned to seven (7) city police departments within Hidalgo County.
The individual sub-recipient agreements between Hidalgo County and the cities and the respective assigned city budget appropriations will be submitted to Commissioners' Court at a later date.
