1. Discussion, consideration and approval of the "Hidalgo County HIDTA Task Force Travel Credit Card Use Policy"
2. Approval to search and utilize for a credit card that would assist the Hidalgo County HIDTA Task force in emergency travel investigations.
BACKGROUND
The "Hidalgo County HIDTA Task Force Travel Credit Card Use Policy" was created to provide policy direction and guidelines to ensure that the purposes and objectives of the Hidalgo County HIDTA Task Force are consistent with the strategies and policies of the Office of National Drug Control Policy and County of Hidalgo.
The restrictions that the State Travel Managment Program (Texas Building and Procurement Commission) carries in regards to the use of certain hotels, airlines and car rentals would not benefit the Task Force. Due to the nature of the Task Force investigations, the credit card needs to be flexible in allowing the agents to travel throughout the United States.
