1. Requesting approval to cancel Ms. Dalia De Los Santos’ application for the rehabilitation of her residence.

2. Requesting approval to cancel bid for the rehabilitation of an existing structure in the Countywide area in the amount of $16,400.00 to CRG Homes, Inc.

BACKGROUND

Bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, whereby CRG Homes, Inc. was the lowest bidder for the Dalia de Los Santos project.  The Urban County Program – HOME Staff has made numerous attempts by phone, and by certified mail asking Ms. De Los Santos to come in to our office so we could form the loan closing process.  The Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program in house policy requires the loan closing to be performed no later than fifteen (15) days from the bid award date.  This project’s bid award date was December 30, 2008 (forty - one (41) days past), as of February 9, 2009.  A copy of the letter to family is attached.
