Requesting approval to certify the Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. (AHSTI), and Proyecto Azteca as Community-Based Development Organizations (CBDO’s) within the County of Hidalgo.

The Urban County Program requested proposals from organizations meeting the Community-Based Development Organizations (CBDO’s) designation requirements, as defined in 24 CFR 570.204(c), for participation in the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) created under Title III – Emergency Assistance for the Redevelopment of Abandoned and Foreclosed Homes in the “Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008”. The UCP HOME Division determined that the abovementioned organizations meet CBDO requirements.
