Discussion, consideration and action in connection with selecting and approving Hidalgo County's Method of Distribution (MOD) for HUD Disaster Recovery Funding allocated by the State of Texas, Office of Rural Community Affairs (ORCA) and authority to accept applications for funding from funded entities.

Several public hearings were held by the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council soliciting comments from interested parties regarding the distribution of the Disaster Recovery funding.  The Urban County Program conducted a public hearing on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 6:00 pm. at 1916 Tesoro Blvd. in Pharr and presented four (4) MOD options with each option allocating Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) for Housing.  The public was advised that the MOD options would be presented to Commissioner's Court for the approval of one MOD.
