The Urban County Program is requesting approval of a best and final negotiated Geotechnical Engineering & Asbestos Abatement Service contract with Terracon Consulting Engineers & Scientists in the amount of $4,805.00 utilizing Year 21 (2008) funds for a Public Facility Improvements Project (asbestos removal project) in the City of Weslaco.
BACKGROUND
The City of Weslaco requested authorization to negotitate a Material Testing Service contract with Terracon Consulting Engineers & Scientists for Asbestos removal project at the Weslaco Public Library Commons Facility. A best and final offer was submitted by Terracon Consulting Engineers & Scientists in the amount of $4,805.00. The improvements will allow for the removal of asbestos at the Weslaco Library Commons Facility being rehabilitated. See attached best and final offer & scope of services.
