Requesting authorization for the submittal of a waiver of pre-award costs to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as requested by the City of Hidalgo.
BACKGROUND
The City of Hidalgo is requesting that the Urban County Program request authorization from the Hidalgo County Commissioners' Court to submit a request for waiver of pre-award costs to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City proposes to obligate Urban County Program funds over the next five (5) years for the reconstruction and resurfacing of nine (9) streets. Also part of its request for pre-award cost is the purchase of a fire truck which the city proposes to pay over the course of three (3) years. The reconstruction of streets and purchase of fire protection equipment are eligible under 24 CFR Part 570.201 (c) and 24 CFR Part 570.207 (b) (1) (ii).
