Discussion, consideration and action on appointment of one (1) Housing Advisory Committee member as requested by the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council .

On January 28, 2010, the Lower Rio Grande Development Council Board of Directors authorized the development of a Housing Advisory Committee that would evaluate the Statement of Qualifications for a CDBG Housing Rehabilitation/Assistance Program Management firm. This management firm would assist the LRGVDC with the implementation and management of the LRGVDC’s Disaster Recovery Program related to Housing in accordance with the TDHCA and CDBG requirements. This committee is to be composed of twelve (12) members as follows:

Hidalgo County                           Cameron County                              Willacy County
3 – Entitlement Communities       2 – Entitlement Communities            1 – County
1 – County                                  1 – County                                         1 – Largest City

1 – COG Grassroots (Board Designee)
2 – Small City (Board Designee – One each Cameron & Hidalgo County
