CAPTION

Constable Pct. #4:
Approval to extend Agreement between Hidalgo County and the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) to provide Security Services

BACKGROUND

Security Services to be provided at the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) by Constable Pct. 4 deputies.

Thank you for your assistance with this request. Please see and complete the attached Contract/Vendor Information form. We need this information to process the paperwork before we can initiate your services. At this late hour, we should try to get everything in place for a start-up of August 21st if you can expedite return of the attached document. Services cannot be initiated until we have received your document and allocated funds. FEMA has accepted the quoted rate of $25/hour.

We are in your jurisdiction to provide assistance to the victims of Tropical Storm Alex (DR-1931-TX) and would like to staff our Disaster Recovery Center at 100 E. Cano Ave., Edinburg (2nd floor) with one officer as follows:

August 21, 2010 – September 6, 2010 and according to the following schedule*:
Monday – Saturday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (11 hours)
Sunday 12:00 AM – 7:00 PM (7 hours)

*Note: The officer will be positioned inside the suite at the direction of the site manager during working hours. If the suite is not open upon arrival, we would ask the officer to await their arrival (their schedules are subject to flex)

We need to make payment through your agency (as opposed to individual officers) to avoid the accounting issues that would flow from generating multiple individual contracts, etc.. As time is short, we would greatly appreciate your expediting this request. Please call if you have any questions or issues that we should be aware of. We’ll forward a set of Post Orders once arrangements have been made.

Please call or email a response when you receive this.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
