The Urban County Program is requesting approval of a best and final negotiated Engineering Service contract with Quintanilla, Headley & Associates, Inc. in the amount of $35,610.00 utilizing Year 23 (2010) funds for a Water/Sewer Improvements Project in the City of Weslaco.

The City of Weslaco requested authorization to negotiate a Professional Engineering Service contract with Quintanilla, Headley & Associates, Inc. for water/sewer improvements project in the City of Weslaco.  A best and final offer was submitted by Quintanilla, Headley & Associates, Inc. in the amount of $35,610.00. The contract includes additional payment clause: “The Engineer shall be paid a total fixed amount of $35,610.00 or 10% of the Lowest Responsive Bid Amount, whichever is less for services rendered under this contract. Payment shall be based on request for reimbursements with documentation requested by the Party.”  The improvements will allow for the installation of a water line, sewer line and resurfacing improvements and related appurtenances in the alley between Calle de Palmas and Calle Libertad from Torritos Street to Calle Hidalgo, and Alley between Calle La Republica and Calle Libertad from First Street to Hidalgo Street.   See attached best and final offer & scope of services.
